Although I get the feeling that The Spiderwick Chronicles is just like every other children's fantasy movie to have been released in the past [very long time], I was a little excited to see a free Spiderwick book in with my Lucky Charms cereal this morning.

Promoting literacy is hot. Reading during breakfast is hot. Free books are hot, especially when you've read the outside cover of the Lucky Charms box five hundred times and can do the maze in your sleep. It begs the question: why don't we include reading material with all cereals?
